Shirtaz Ramji is a Senior Project Manager at Robert Bird Group, an SJ Group Company, based in London, with more than 23 years of experience delivering complex construction and infrastructure projects across the UK, Europe and the Middle East. Combining hands-on site leadership with strategic project management expertise, Shirtaz specialises in helping clients and project teams optimise design, construction sequencing, logistics and programme delivery from concept through to completion.
Throughout his career, Shirtaz has worked on a diverse portfolio of major developments spanning aviation, rail, commercial, cultural and complex structures. His experience includes supporting transformative airport expansion projects such as Athens International Airport, London Stansted Airport, London Heathrow Airport and London Gatwick Airport, where he has provided constructability advice, logistics strategies, airfield operations, programme optimisation and operational planning to help maintain passenger experience while facilitating large-scale infrastructure upgrades.
Shirtaz brings a strong technical understanding of construction delivery, underpinned by extensive experience in concrete frames, groundworks, temporary works, airside and landside operations, and contractor engagement. He is highly regarded for his ability to bring together multidisciplinary teams, manage complex stakeholder interfaces and develop practical, buildable solutions that improve efficiency, reduce risk and support successful project outcomes.
