Shannon Wandmaker is the director of CW Aviation Security Consulting, a specialized consultancy that works with governments and industry on strategy, governance and oversight. He is an experienced aviation leader with over 25 years of experience in over 50 countries in the Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Europe, and has in-depth aviation, international relations and diplomatic experience backed up by decades of regulatory and operational knowledge. Wandmaker’s experience spans senior leadership positions in commercial, government and international organisations, having held roles in G4S Risk Consulting in Kuwait, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC), as well as 12 years in Australian government aviation policy, operational and diplomatic positions, including as first secretary (transport) in the Australian Embassy, Abu Dhabi. Wandmaker leads aviation security and facilitation projects in the Asia Pacific region for clients including ICAO, the Pacific Aviation Safety Office (PASO), the Cooperative Aviation Security Program Asia Pacific (CASP AP), BHP, Toll Global Logistics, Airports Council International (ACI) and National Airports Corporation in PNG. He is AVSEC PM qualified and is a fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
