Matt Prescott is a Director at Iken Associates, where he leads its Aviation Practice, advising on decarbonisation and sustainability across policy, strategy, regulation, fuels, and infrastructure.
He was formerly Head of Carbon Strategy at Heathrow Airport where he played a leading role in developing the airport's Net Zero Plan, sponsored investment in airport decarbonisation, and drove industry-wide engagement on topics including sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) and carbon dioxide removal. He also directed academic engagement for the airport, exploring key future challenges linked to climate, resilience and sustainability.
Matt has held several industry leadership roles, including Chair of the UK government's Jet Zero Council Zero Emissions Flight Infrastructure group and Chair of the Carbon Dioxide Removal group at the UK industry coalition Sustainable Aviation.
He was recently appointed Honorary Professor at University College London, where he is part of its Air Transport Systems Laboratory.
