Kashyap Bhimjiani is a design principal and firmwide airports practice leader at SOM. Bhimjiani has more than two decades of professional experience in aviation projects of all scales – from masterplanning to terminal design, at existing as well as greenfield airports around the world. He has experience working with various clientele that include airport authorities, P3 airport operators, design-build consortiums and airlines. While leading the planning and design of global projects, Bhimjiani adeptly recognizes client goals and resolves challenges to generate innovative and efficient solutions. As a designer, he emphasizes the experiential quality of design to create memorable architectural experiences. He endeavors to balance beauty with practicality by ensuring that design is informed by purpose and performance.
