Joachim Petry is responsible for driving the market introduction of the SDX 10060 XDi, Smiths Detection’s x-ray diffraction-based explosive detection system. With more than 20 years of experience at Smiths Detection, Petry has held a variety of technical, commercial and business development roles. Throughout his career, he has gained extensive expertise in air cargo screening, non-destructive testing (NDT) applications and solutions supporting the circular economy. Combining a strong engineering background with deep market knowledge, Petry focuses on bringing innovative inspection technologies to new markets and customer applications. He holds degrees in electrical engineering from universities in Germany and France.
