Cristiano Ceccato de Sabata joined ZHA in London almost 20 years ago, having previously worked for Frank O. Gehry Partners in Los Angeles. At ZHA, Cristiano established the firm’s aviation department, which over the past 15 years has designed and built four greenfield airports and worked on several newbuild terminals and other brownfield projects around the world: with over 200MAP capacity worth of infrastructure, ZHA is recognised as one of the top aviation architects operating today.
Cristiano has been the Project Director for the Beijing Daxing International Airport; the Navi Mumbai International Airport in India; the Western Sydney Airport in Australia; and the Chongqing Terminal 3B, and the forthcoming Bishoftu International Airport in Ethiopia. Cristiano is a graduate of the Architectural Association and Imperial College in London. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, where he sits on the Air Transport Specialist Group board.
