Clem Newton-Brown
CEO and Founder,
Aeroberm (a Skyportz company)
Clem Newton-Brown is the founder and CEO of Skyportz Australia and creator of the Aeroberm – the world's first patented modular vertipad system purpose-built for the air taxi era. A former barrister and planning law specialist, Newton-Brown has been the deputy lord mayor of Melbourne and a member of the Victorian parliament. He serves on national and international advanced air mobility committees contributing to the regulatory frameworks that will govern the next generation of clean electric aviation.
Aeroberm is the only vertipad product on the market engineered to address all three critical barriers to urban vertiport approval: rotor downwash and outwash, noise amplification in ground effect, and lithium-ion battery fire safety. The patent was recognized with the Blue Sky Innovation Award at the 2025 Avalon International Airshow and supported by the Australian government with a grant under the Industry Growth Programme.
