Speaker Spotlight: Andy Davis
Ahead of Passenger Terminal Expo Asia, we spoke with Andy Davis at King Salman International Airport, about the trends shaping airport terminals across Asia and what attendees can expect from their session at the launch edition of the event.
Tell us about your role and how your work contributes to the passenger terminal industry.
I am currently involved in a project which is delivering massive capacity for the city of Riyadh and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
As the leader of Operations across an airport which already processes over 40 million passengers annually, I coordinate all operational activities across five existing terminals. In addition to this, we are building three new terminals.
What inspired you to speak at the launch edition of Passenger Terminal Expo Asia?
I have thoroughly enjoyed speaking at and attending previous PTE Europe conferences. It's very exciting to be part of the launch of PTE in Asia, and gives me exposure to different airports, cultures and innovative thinking. It is also a fantastic opportunity to network with new colleagues.
What key topics or insights will you be sharing during your session?
How operational resilience is maintained during times of conflict and geopolitical uncertainty.
Why is this topic particularly relevant to the passenger terminal industry in Asia right now?
Geopolitical tensions can arise at any time and are unpredictable. Without planning and hearing of the experiences of others, it can be difficult to maintain business continuity and instill confidence in airlines and passengers.
What are you most looking forward to at Passenger Terminal Expo Asia as a speaker?
To impart my knowledge and experience to hopefully help others. Also, very much looking forward to more networking.
Join Andy Davis at Passenger Terminal Expo Asia to hear more about how operational resilience is maintained during times of conflict and geopolitical uncertainty and connect with airport leaders, operators and industry partners from across the region.
