The expansion of Athens International Airport will support 40 million passengers by 2032 – unifying the existing airport with new elements across the main and satellite terminal. The new north and south oculus
will act as Athenian moments, dwelling points where passengers experience, in a Mediterranean garden, a microcosm of city life. A sense of place will pervade the cohesive design, securing an ease of operations, efficient flows and intuitive wayfinding.
